Can you recycle empty BBQ gas bottles?
Yes. Empty BBQ bottles still need licensed handling because they are pressurised steel cylinders. Transnitro collects them from Melbourne homes and businesses and recycles the steel through compliant pathways. A retail swap is optional if the bottle is in program condition. Request a quote for collection.
What should I do with a damaged BBQ cylinder?
Do not bin it, vent it, or take a damaged cylinder on a swap if the retailer will not accept it. Leave the bottle as it is and book a licensed collection. Transnitro picks up damaged and unwanted BBQ bottles across Melbourne. Request a quote to arrange pickup.
Do you collect BBQ bottles from businesses?
Yes. Cafes, caterers, and sites with multiple BBQ or LPG bottles can book a commercial pickup. Transnitro provides licensed collection across Melbourne instead of DIY trips to a depot. Tell us how many bottles and access details when you request a quote.
